UPDATE: Fatal Crash at 9800 South and Redwood Road

South Jordan, Utah — Thursday evening, April 17, 2025, the South Jordan Police responded to a crash involving a truck pulling a trailer and a pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup truck involved in the crash has died from injuries sustained in the collision. The name of the driver is being withheld out of respect for the family.

As previously reported, the crash happened around 6:37 p.m. when a truck and trailer traveling northbound on Redwood Road struck a pickup truck that was traveling southbound and attempted to turn east onto 9800 South.

The driver of the truck and trailer was not injured and has continued to cooperate with the investigation.

The South Valley Crash Team—made up of investigators from South Jordan, Herriman, and Riverton Police—are still investigating the cause of the accident.

The City of South Jordan offers its deepest sympathies and condolences to the family during this tragic time.
